I Love Fashion: Secret Squirrel Clothing

I first discovered Secret Squirrel Clothing last year when I grabbed a cute dress from last year's collection. Simple and striking, it was gorgeous enough to get me snapped at Brisbane's Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival (piccie here!).

I am in LOVE with their upcoming Winter collection, "The White Album". More clean simple lines, my favourite clothing colours (I'm a black, white and grey girl) and loads of sparkles for the season.

The collection hits stores in March or April this year. Fingers crossed it's available in time for the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, as I'm heading down this year. Can't wait!

February is the New January - News and a Giveaway

I've heard the quote, "February is the New January" a few times now and I have to agree. February has already been a great month.

I've been busy making and sending boxes of bags off to retailers this week, so look out for new stock in the coming weeks. The top row of bags are heading to i dream a highway, the small clutches on the bottom left to Nook and coin purses on the bottom right to Leeloo!

i dream a highway, are a new stockist for Chi Designs and I have been very lucky to be included within a this great little Melbourne store. Next time you're in Northcote, make sure you visit the indie store filled with great gifts, music and loads of western shirts!

Hearts

I have been going heart crazy recently. I'm loving the Umbrella Prints' Hearts fabric so much that it is taking over everything. By the weekend there will be a clutch in every size adorned with it.

And there will be loads of these new little brooches too. :) They will be available from my stall on Sunday at the Southbank Young Designer Markets. Come down and say hello. My stall will be the one looking very red.

I Love Food - Vapiano Brisbane

Tonight, I was lucky enough to try Vapiano for the second time at their launch party (along with 500 of my closest friends!). Vapiano is an international institution with over 30 locations worldwide and their newly opened Albert Lane restaurant is the first in Australia.

First things first. The Italian/Australian food isn't fantastic. However, it seems that people will not be deterred by this small issue. Dining at Vapiano is more about the dining itself.

The service is fast, attentive and friendly. The location is big, shiny, glassy and cool. The diners are stylish, young and there to be seen. And there are great little quirks - individual charge cards to alleviate bill disputes, fresh basil trees on every table and your food is cooked whilst you wait.

In short, visit Vapiano for the experience! It's a great addition to the dining scene in Brisbane.

And don't forget to try to the tiramisu!

I Love an Etsy Treasury

A Chi Designs' bag (the Love Clutch) was recently featured on Etsy's front page! Very exciting.

And look who I met this week! I wrote all about it at News Unlimited, an online news site written by young people and for young people in Brisbane, showcasing the best of Brisbane and things of interest to young people including news, reviews, events and more.
